So why Internet Marketing?

To get to the why make money online part, we need to explain a bit of who we are and where we come from. We met in the 90's while studying in at Potchefstroom University Business School. No, we weren't teenagers or even in our early 20's, we were both in our late 20's (very late) and both have been running one or more business full time by then.

But we were always looking for that ever elusive "big one". That magic formula which would take us from zero to mega rich in less than 2 years. Suffice it to say, we've most probably tried all the schemes there is, not only just seen them. We've been successful in traditional business, in multi-level marketing, in working for other people and between the two of us, we most probably have all the Robert Kyosaki books ever written.

I'm sure we've even read some of them. We've have listened to 100's of tapes and cd's by famous motivational speakers such as Zig Ziegler, Rich de Vos, Robert Kyosaki and countless others. We have full libraries of motivational and success books. We have paid thousands of Rands to go to business seminars and motivational seminars.

And yet we had to find that ever elusive "big one".

Making money on the Internet

Sometime during our careers - in the early 2000's, Stephan started learning how to build his own website. He build a website for his safari business and got some good, solid input from a friend of his about html coding and more.

When my own security business failed in 2004, Stephan started teaching me the ropes on Internet marketing and how to make real money online. Down on my luck and without a dime, I lent him my pc and he started building sites, while teaching me how this Internet business works. Little did I realise that he himself was still learning.

His first website produced no money (I think ever), but my own first website started making some serious income in the first couple of months.
